Lapis and Gold Seed Beads

For this one I used gold colored seed beads to encase a deep blue lapis stone. I used the smaller dark blue beads closer to the top of the bezel to make it seem (from a distance at least) like the stone isn't covered as high up as it really is covered. Since the beads are faceted (charolottes) it gives the pendant a little extra sparkle too.

I haven't quite decided yet what kind of necklace/chain I want to make for it yet. I was thinking either a single strand of Lapis with the gold seed beads as spacers between each lapis bead, or 2-3 strands of gold seed beads. Right now I'm leaning more towards the lapis chain, if I can find just the right beads to go with the focal stone.
