Corona

Solar Quartz, surrounded by swirling coils of copper, adorns a large Quartz crystal point. Pendant hangs from a handwoven cotton cord with copper findings.

This is a rather large and bold pendant. At the widest point of the wirework, it's 21.4mm. The total length is 71.6mm. Where it seems bulkiest though is how thick it is at the wirework, front to back. It's 20mm thick.

This actually started life out as a ring (last 2 pictures). I ended up measuring wrong so the ring turned out to be a size 4. With such a large focal and a teeny tiny band, I didn't think it would sell. But, at the same time I didn't want to totally scrap it either.

When I was taking pictures of it, I took one with it sitting on a crystal point. That gave me the idea to use it an accent for the front of the point. I cut the band and unwrapped enough of the weave to be able to secure the weaving wire onto the frame wires, then attached it to the crystal and added a woven bail.

Pendant is approximately 7/8" (21mm) wide and 2 3/4" (72mm) long. Necklace is 18" long (including the clasp).
